Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. This role is for an Account Executive focused on growing and retaining existing startup customers by identifying new opportunities, executing sales strategies, and driving adoption of Stripe's offerings. Responsibilities include contract renewals, commercial negotiations, developing sales cycle strategies, solving client needs, and generating leads. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of client-facing/sales experience, can understand technical ecosystems, drive upsell opportunities, and manage complex pricing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own contract renewals and lead commercial negotiations to increase and retain existing customer revenue and Stripe market share
  2. Develop and implement full sales cycle strategies for driving product adoption, net new product sales, and client retention at scale among existing Stripe customers
  3. Solve complex client needs and work across product, sales, risk, and operations teams to improve our product
  4. Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for startups and small/medium businesses
  5. Generate your own leads through cold calling, blitzing, research, networking, and driving your territory
