AI Governance – HR Data- Vice President

This role focuses on AI Governance within the HR Data Governance team at JPMorgan Chase. The Vice President will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate use of AI under regulations, developing AI risk management expertise, assessing AI-enabled platforms, and preparing for regulatory supervision related to AI. The role emphasizes identifying and managing AI risks, ensuring compliance with AI laws and policies, and supporting the safe scaling and adoption of AI technologies within HR.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop AI risk management subject matter expertise in HR and deliver such expertise in support of HR Data, Compliance and the firm.
  2. Assist with oversight and challenge of HR AI governance and risk management, including the effectiveness of documentation, controls, monitoring, and escalation.
  3. Assess and challenge integration-driven risks for AI-enabled platforms, focusing on governance for new tools/connectors and the effectiveness of guardrails, access, monitoring, and escalation.
  4. Support HR Data Governance to prepare for and engage in regulatory supervision, including the CO & EU AI Act, and assist with other AI-focused regulatory supervision.
  5. Assist identify and address emerging HR AI risks, including regulatory developments, external geopolitical and market events giving rise to compliance and operational risks, and process/control gaps that may create conduct risk.

Skills

Required

  • Good working knowledge of the AI regulations and landscape
  • Relevant experience with AI and other innovative technology risk management, governance, or enablement particularly in environments undergoing rapid product change.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with team members, including senior management and partners, while maintaining independence and effective challenge.
  • Significant experience with or demonstrated capability to learn, AI risk management principles and techniques, including assessing control design and operational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional analytical, issue-spotting, problem-solving abilities, including translating complex technical topics into clear risk decisions.
  • Proven intellectual curiosity, capability to learn quickly, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands across a global business.
