What you'd actually do

  1. Design and develop analog circuits for advanced process nodes, focusing on high-speed transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, PLLs, voltage regulators, and data converters.
  2. Create and optimize floorplans and perform detailed circuit designs that meet power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals.
  3. Extract chip parameters and simulate analog behavior models to verify design specifications.
  4. Develop comprehensive test plans to validate designs against circuit and block microarchitecture specifications, and evaluate test results to ensure functionality.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to report design progress, address performance issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD with no experience.
  • Proven expertise in high-speed analog circuit design, including transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, PLLs, voltage regulators, and data converters.
  • Proficiency in using EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE, and Synopsys for analog circuit design, simulation, and verification.
  • Strong understanding of CMOS technologies, circuit simulation, and analog behavior modeling.
  • Experience in circuit optimization techniques for power, performance, area, and timing.

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with equalization techniques and SoC analog layout design checks.
  • Prior experience in DDR, PCI, Ethernet, or SerDes design is highly desirable.
  • Ability to contribute to group problem-solving and disciplined execution of projects.
