Associate Manager, Business Development for Marvel Games, focusing on partnerships, deal structuring, and evaluating opportunities within the video game industry across various platforms and business models. What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with the Director of Business Development, Operations, Production, and Creative Teams to help manage and grow Marvel Games’ footprint through existing relationships and new opportunity development.
  2. Support the end-to-end deal process for Marvel IP in games, including negotiations, new deal structuring, amendments, and contract execution.
  3. Help evaluate inbound and outbound opportunities for strategic fit and commercial viability.
  4. Own and maintain internal tracking and reporting for prospective, in-progress, and executed deals, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  5. Assist the Director of Business Development in building data-informed business cases to support Marvel's long-term gaming strategy, in collaboration with DGG Strategy & Insights and Finance teams.

Skills

Required

  • 4 years of relevant experience in business development, licensing, partnerships, strategy, or related functions within games (publisher, developer, platform, agency, or IP holder).
  • Strong understanding of the video game industry, including platforms, genres, and F2P, premium and subscription-based business models
  • An emotional intelligence that drives and builds strong relationships (internal and external) via excellent communication and an empathetic mindset
  • A constant, unyielding desire to overdeliver, going above and beyond to produce the highest-quality work
  • An analytical and framework-oriented mind, both of quantitative (Excel sheets, business models) and qualitative (game genres, trends) nature, as well as a whiteboard-debate-eager, insights-fueled, hypothesis-driven approach to identifying and evaluating industry trends

  • MBA or equivalent a plus.
