This role is for an Associate Specialist in Engineering within the Commercialisation, Development and Supply (CDS) group at Merck. The CDS group focuses on process development for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Oral Solid Dose (OSD), and potent products, from early-stage development through commercial launch. The position involves planning and conducting process development studies, managing clinical and stability batches, participating in cross-functional teams for risk and safety assessments, and supporting commercial supply activities. The role requires a Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related science discipline, with 1-3 years of relevant experience in Oral Solid Dosage or Spray Drying.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan, conduct, evaluate and interpret process development studies, including scale-up, OSD/Spray drying characterization, and design space development.
  2. Clinical and formal stability batch manufacture,
  3. Leading and participating in cross functional teams to carry out Quality Risk Assessments, Quality Investigations, and Safety Assessments.

  • Minimum of 1- 3 years relevant experience in Oral Solid Dosage or Spray Drying.
