Automation Engineer- Systems Administrator

Automation Engineer-Systems Administrator role focused on implementing and managing automation, data, integration, and security systems for a new state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Concord, NC. Responsibilities include system administration, security management, procedure development, and supporting manufacturing processes. What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Corporate Automation, Automation Integrators, and Global Facilities Delivery to design, install and qualify the site Platform and Data related systems and related technologies, Lilly’s OT/IT integration layer, and end-point cyber security solutions
  2. System Administration ownership and management of these platforms during the delivery phase and post-delivery including user access controls, automated alarm management, data management, and system maintenance, including process improvements and life cycle management
  3. Manage and own the system security including data integrity
  4. Develop site procedures that will govern Platform and related data systems
  5. Lead the management and growth of the platforms and data related systems as new process systems are added to the facility, partnering with manufacturing process teams and other site groups.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related science/technical field
  • Experience in Automation, Process Control, or Platform System Administration
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Nice to have

  • 5+ years experience in automation or process control
  • 2+ years experience in automation platform system administration.
  • Core knowledge related to ISE S95 and S88 principles and IT/Automation integration.
  • Experience in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View SE HMI Platforms or related technology.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC’s and other related automation technologies.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP industry.
  • Experience working with validated systems.
  • Experience in managing IT/OT platforms.
  • Experience in Microsoft operating systems, virtual environments, and networking.
  • Experience in databases and visualization.
  • Experience in OSI/PI Data Historians
