This role is for an Automotive Mechanic at Verizon responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and special equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing inspections (OSHA, ANSI, emissions, state), and ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition. The role requires experience with various vehicle types and equipment, and potentially specialized licenses like CDL and PA State Inspection/Emissions licenses.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performing maintenance and repair of all types of motor vehicles and special equipment in the Verizon fleet.
  2. Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing all company associated equipment, including aerial lifts, diggers, generators, tools, etc.
  3. Using computer test equipment to diagnose vehicle problems.
  4. Interfacing with vehicle users regarding repairs, questions, etc.
  5. Performing OSHA, ANSI, emissions, and state inspections on company vehicles.

What the JD emphasized

  • Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Must meet safety-related requirements including but not limited to those standards of safety imposed by OSHA, state agencies, manufacturers and/or the company.
