This role is for an AVP of Product & Enterprise Technology Strategy at AT&T. The primary focus is on defining and executing enterprise technology strategy, leading teams across product, platform, and infrastructure. The role involves directing IT professionals, driving the development and optimization of enterprise platforms and services, and ensuring technology investments align with business goals and scale reliably. It emphasizes leadership in product management, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure platforms within a large, global environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead product and platform strategy for enterprise technology services, ensuring clear value propositions, measurable outcomes, and alignment with business priorities.
  2. Direct and mentor large, multi-layered teams across IT domains including software delivery, systems architecture, infrastructure, and operations.
  3. Drive end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, overseeing the software development lifecycle, project execution, resource planning, and budget alignment.
  4. Partner with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and business leaders to define long-term strategy, investment priorities, and roadmap execution.
  5. Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, integration, and performance of technology platforms.

Skills

Required

  • Experience leading large-scale IT operations and enterprise platforms across software, infrastructure, and systems domains.
  • Expertise in software development lifecycle management, including design, delivery, and operational optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud and hybrid platforms, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience managing complex programs including budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to drive product lifecycle management, including roadmap development, rationalization, and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to align technical strategy with business outcomes and enterprise goals.
  • Proven experience leading large teams, including supervising leaders and senior staff.
  • Strong background influencing hiring, performance management, and organizational development decisions.
  • Experience working across cross-functional initiatives with architecture, product, and infrastructure organizations.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science or related field desired.
  • Experience in large-scale, high-reliability or regulated environments preferred.
