Business Process Analyst, Systems Engineering

Fivetran is seeking a Business Process Analyst to document and analyze core business workflows, supporting systems transformation and AI readiness. The role involves creating process artifacts, conducting stakeholder interviews, and maintaining documentation libraries. Requires strong process mapping skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Document current-state business and technical workflows across GTM, Finance, Operations, and Systems teams using L2–L4 process maps
  2. Create high-quality process artifacts including swimlanes, decision trees, data touchpoint diagrams, RACI matrices, and exception handling flows
  3. Conduct stakeholder interviews and shadow end users to understand how operational workflows function in practice
  4. Synthesize complex or inconsistent information into clear, organized, and actionable documentation
  5. Identify process gaps, unclear handoffs, operational inconsistencies, and exception paths

Skills

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, operations, consulting, business systems, or related roles in SaaS or high-growth technology environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to produce accurate and high-quality documentation quickly
  • Strong process mapping and workflow visualization skills using tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio
  • Ability to structure ambiguous information into clear, scalable, and easy-to-understand process artifacts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and synthesize stakeholder feedback effectively
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent requests and priorities across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating working sessions, capturing decisions, and maintaining organized follow-through
  • Familiarity with operational workflows across GTM, Finance, Customer Success, or business systems environments
  • Basic reporting and analytical skills with comfort working with operational or CRM data
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and workflow copilots to support documentation, research, synthesis, and process analysis work

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, CPQ, subscription billing, or revenue operations systems
  • Experience working with process governance, process libraries, or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to systems transformation or operational scale programs
  • Experience supporting enablement, training, or operational rollout activities
  • Basic SQL or reporting experience
