Snowflake is looking for a Senior Buyer to manage indirect spend and the lifecycle of Professional Services and Marketing Categories. This role involves strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, stakeholder partnership, process optimization, and supplier relationship management, utilizing tools like Zip, Workday, and ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of global procurement experience, proficiency in procurement tools, and strong communication and project management skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist with commercial negotiations for MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, Events and Order Forms.
  2. Act as a trusted advisor to internal Business Owners, helping them navigate the procurement process (Zip / Workday) and providing market intelligence to inform their buying decisions.
  3. Drive efficiency in the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process, ensuring accurate PO creation in Workday and timely vendor onboarding.
  4. Monitor vendor performance and manage renewals proactively (90-120 days out) to avoid service disruptions and late fees.
  5. Analyze spend data to identify consolidation opportunities, shadow IT, and cost-saving initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • 1-3 + years of experience in Global Procurement
  • understanding end to end Source-to-Pay life cycle
  • specifically focused on Software and SaaS categories in a global corporate environment
  • Hands-on experience with Zip (Intake-to-Procure) and Workday (ERP) is highly preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent requests in a fast-paced, "hyper-growth" environment

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and Ironclad is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in the Tech/Cloud industry
  • Understanding of TPRM (Third-Party Risk Management) and GDPR/Data Privacy requirements during the software intake process
  • A "customer-service" mindset
