Category Manager - Emea Capex

GE Healthcare is seeking an Indirect Sourcing Category Manager for EMEA CAPEX. This role will develop and execute category strategies for Facilities and MRO CAPEX, manage supplier negotiations, cost reduction activities, market analysis, and RFx processes. The position requires significant experience in sourcing and negotiation, with a strong ability to navigate matrixed organizations and analyze costs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and implement regional category strategies for designated categories that align with global priorities. Take full ownership of these categories, continuously enhancing category knowledge and deepening understanding of supplier capabilities.
  2. Skillfully negotiate contracts, statements of work, payment terms, pricing, minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead time reductions, as well as vendor-managed inventories when applicable.
  3. Manage material and service pricing and lead cost reduction and cost containment activities. Identify new cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, supplier consolidation, and strategic negotiation. Monitor and track savings performance against established goals.
  4. Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and supplier capabilities to refine and enhance sourcing strategies. Conduct market research to assess potential suppliers and opportunities for innovation and efficiency and understand market pricing.
  5. Accountable for establishing and nurturing robust relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Conduct regular reviews with key suppliers to evaluate performance against critical KPIs.
