Communication & Public Relations (pr) Intern (12-month)

This is an internship role for a Communications & Public Relations student at Eli Lilly, a global healthcare leader. The intern will support various internal and external communication activities, including content creation, social media management, media relations, internal communications, and project management. The role requires strong writing, social media literacy, and basic design tool skills, along with detail-orientation and research abilities. The position is for a student pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field, who must be returning to full-time studies after the internship.

What you'd actually do

  1. Draft engaging copy for newsletters, and other communications activities.
  2. Assist in scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and creating visual content (graphics/short-form video) for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn.
  3. Research and maintain media lists; help draft pitches for local or industry-specific outlets.
  4. Support the team with internal announcements, slide decks, or company-wide updates.
  5. Support the planning and execution of communications projects and events by coordinating timelines, tracking deliverables, and liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of initiatives.
