Construction Engineering Intern role at Intel, supporting the execution and delivery of semiconductor manufacturing facility projects. Responsibilities include supporting databases, field validation, software testing, design development, and managing engineering content. What you'd actually do

  1. Support development and maintenance of the FASTR database, including field audits and data verification activities
  2. Participate in field validation efforts, including Point of Connection (POC) lateral X/Y verification, to ensure alignment between design and as-built conditions
  3. Assist with the testing and validation of new GCE Optimizer software, documenting results and supporting issue resolution
  4. Support P/ID updates and assist with lateral design development for upcoming construction scopes
  5. Review and merge vendor drawings with Intel Plan of Record (POR) and lateral reference packages (RPs)

Skills

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Process/Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
  • Ability to work on-site and in construction or industrial environments as required.

Nice to have

  • Coursework or experience related to construction engineering, facilities, or industrial infrastructure
  • Experience in SQL data base.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, matrixed environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
