This role is for a Country Risk Data Owner Associate at JPMorgan Chase in London. What you'd actually do

  1. Create plans for the development and delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, business operations, advanced analytics, and metrics and reporting
  2. Assist in capturing and documenting metadata and classifiers for critical data, ensuring understanding of impacts on data providers and consumers
  3. Support the Product Owner by identifying, sourcing, and tracking data for integration into analytics platforms in a systematic and controlled way
  4. Execute processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks across the Country Risk data lifecycle including risks related to data protection, retention and destruction, storage, use, and quality
  5. Maintain and enrich the Country Risk data catalogue and metadata repository for transparency and reuse, while tracking and reporting key data metrics to inform roadmap decisions

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. data, computer science, engineering, mathematics, sciences), or equivalent professional experience
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to execute quickly under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technology and business teams
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to document and convey data-related information clearly
  • Basic understanding of data management principles and data lifecycle management
  • Some knowledge of Python, Tableau, and/or Alteryx

Nice to have

  • Experience in data management, data governance, risk management / analytics or a related field
  • Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms
  • Experience/expertise in Risk and/or Data Science preferred
  • Knowledge of basic SQL or other data querying languages
