This role is for a CPU Core Architect/RTL Design Engineer focused on Clocking, Reset, and Power for next-generation AMD CPUs. The engineer will drive the definition, implementation, and integration of these components, working collaboratively with a skilled engineering team. Responsibilities include microarchitecture definition, design delivery from concept to tapeout, static timing, CDC/Gate CDC, and static power analysis, as well as identifying customer challenges and making technical contributions for performance, frequency, and power efficiency.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers to define and implement CPL microarchitecture for AMD CPUs.
  2. Reliably deliver a design from concept through tapeout by innovating through complex and challenging requirements.
  3. Drive design closure gaining experience with Static Timing, CDC/Gate CDC, and Static Power analysis.
  4. Identify customer challenges and insert a compelling AMD value proposition to address challenges.
  5. Make technical contributions and innovations that enable high performance, high frequency, and power efficiency on caches, fabrics, and interfaces of our server, desktop, and laptop CPUs.
