Director of Strategic Finance - GTM role at Carta, a fintech company. What you'd actually do

  1. Build deep partnerships with Sales and Marketing Leadership by providing strategic decision support across all areas of investment, delivering high-level financial results, and identifying emerging market trends.
  2. Own and continuously improve GTM capacity planning and headcount forecasting; drive alignment between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Recruiting to ensure investment levels are tied to growth targets
  3. Develop frameworks for translating complex GTM strategies into measurable financial reporting with the goal of optimizing target setting for revenue and operating investments
  4. Own and evolve GTM KPIs and ROI frameworks (CAC, LTV, Payback) to guide decision-making that aligns with the company’s long-term objectives.
  5. Partner with Sales leadership on target setting, quota design, rep productivity assumptions, and territory planning — translating growth objectives into a headcount and capacity model the GTM org can execute against
