This Director role focuses on executing MongoDB's technology partner strategy, particularly in the AI space, by managing a team of Partner Managers to drive business outcomes and activate partnerships with AI labs, agent frameworks, and developer platforms. The role requires leadership, cross-functional coordination, and technical fluency in AI applications to turn partner relationships into measurable pipeline contribution and co-sell motions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and develop a team of Partner Managers, providing clear direction, deal coaching, and the operational oversight needed to move partnerships from signed to active
  2. Drive activation and business development across the complementary technology partner portfolio, including AI platforms and frontier labs, agent and workflow frameworks, and developer platforms where builders ship mission critical applications
  3. Serve as the primary point of coordination between Partnerships and the Sales, Product, and Marketing teams that partner programs depend on
  4. Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and collaborate with Operations teams to implement process and system improvements
  5. Report on program performance to senior leadership with clarity and regularity, flagging what’s working, what’s isn’t, and what’s needed to close gaps
