Director role in Visa Consulting and Analytics focused on selling, delivering, and implementing consulting projects for financial institutions and neobanks in North America. Responsibilities include managing sales pipelines, building client relationships, leading consulting initiatives, producing insights and recommendations, and developing scalable solutions and frameworks. What you'd actually do

  1. Manage a sales pipeline, within an identified list of client targets, and sell consulting work against aggressive revenue goals.
  2. Build strong client relationships to ensure awareness of our offerings, a clear understanding of how we support their strategic objectives, and advocacy for our work.
  3. Lead consulting initiatives and be the main source of strategic insight and direction to the team.
  4. Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities.
  5. Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, best practice documents and consulting frameworks that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business.

Skills

Required

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Solid understanding of payments dynamics and intellectual curiosity to keep learning.
  • Track record of managing external partnerships or client relationships.
  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance. Significant focus on impacting ROI.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card issuing.
  • Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing individuals and consulting teams.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of traditional issuers as well the connected ecosystem of neobanks and sponsor banks is a plus.
  • Technology oriented, curious, up-to-date with payment and industry trends and applications.
