Manager for EA-18G Mission Systems Integration and Test at Boeing Defense, Space & Security. Leads an engineering team focused on advanced concepts, prototypes, requirements development, software development, system testing, and flight test evaluation for communication, sensor, and electronic warfare systems on the Growler aircraft. Requires a Secret Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure that the team delivers safe and high-quality program products within cost and schedule
  2. Coordination with program management, suppliers, customers and other Boeing teams
  3. Provide technical, programmatic and process leadership to team members
  4. Monitor team and supplier performance to ensure proper system integration and compliance with requirements
  5. Support production and USN fleet with issue resolution for delivered hardware and software over the entire product life cycle

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 9+ years of work-related experience with a bachelor’s or 7+ years of work-related experience with Masters or 4+ years with a PhD
  • at least two years of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 7+ years of technical or engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience in avionics, electrical and/or Mission Systems
  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and Jama Connect
