Figure AI is seeking an Embedded Actuation Engineer to develop, implement, and tune control algorithms for robot actuators in their humanoid robot. This role involves architecting signal routing, managing actuator parameters, implementing control and diagnostic algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for system integration and testing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Architect signal routing and processing of actuator data in our real-time stack
  2. Manage actuator parameter storage, loading, and retrieval
  3. Implement high performance actuation algorithms, in particular for closed loop torque control
  4. Implement signal injection algorithms for system identification purposes
  5. Implement failure fallback strategies
