Embedded Engr II

Honeywell Honeywell · Industrial · India

The Test Engineer will own end-to-end testing of an industrial autonomous solution for oil & gas well operations. This involves validating software, hardware, controls, and analytics in real operational environments, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance. Responsibilities include defining test strategy, performing various types of testing, validating autonomous use cases, and ensuring product quality meets industrial standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and own end‑to‑end test strategy for the Autonomous Well Operations platform.
  2. Perform system, integration, regression, and acceptance testing across edge, cloud (if applicable), control, and UI layers.
  3. Validate autonomous use cases such as: - Autonomous well testing workflows - Virtual flow metering accuracy and fallback behavior - Closed‑loop choke control stability and safety - Chemical injection optimization and safeguards
  4. Design and execute failure‑mode and edge‑case testing.
  5. Verify real‑time performance, latency, determinism, and resource usage on edge hardware.
