This role focuses on designing and implementing processes for large-scale datasets for modeling, data mining, and research. It involves creating analytic models to answer business questions, with a strong emphasis on machine learning, NLP, deep learning, and various AI applications like recommendation systems and computer vision. The role also includes managing a team and driving continuous improvement in AI and data modeling methods.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for leading the design and implementation of processes and layouts for complex, large-scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes.
  2. Leads the design and build of large and complex data sets from spurious sources while thinking strategically about uses of data and how data use interacts with data design.
  3. Works with key stakeholders to generate hypotheses and create analytic models that answer impactful business questions.
  4. Manages a small team of employees including planning work and dividing it among employees.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Experience in one or more languages like Java, R, matlab, Python - generators, iterators, comprehensions, Numpy, Pandas, matplotlib, sklearn, keras, tensorflow, pytorch.
  • Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, reinforcement learning.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Statistics and Probability, NLP, Deep Learning especially experience in recommendation systems, conversational systems, information retrieval, computer vision, regression modeling.
  • Experience with Visualization tools matplotlib, seaborn, tableau, grafana etc..
  • Demonstrated experience writing queries for reporting, analysis and extraction of data from big data systems.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of big data tools (SQL, Spark, and Splunk) ie. manipulating mining data from these systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
