Field Technology Strategist (remote, Gbr)

The Field Technology Strategist will support the CTO Labs team by identifying and delivering new strategic direction and thought leadership to customers, analysts, media, and partners. This role involves driving strategy through cross-functional collaboration, communicating the company's technical vision and strategy regionally, and engaging with governments and regulators on cybersecurity policy and innovation. The role requires deep knowledge of the cybersecurity industry, competitive landscape, and ability to articulate technical strategy to diverse audiences.

What you'd actually do

  1. Informing CrowdStrike’s long-range strategic vision and product roadmap for security, and facilitating the entry of new security technology concepts to market to position CrowdStrike as the leading thought leader for Cybersecurity with customers, partners, and in importantly with industry analysts
  2. Driving and communicating CrowdStrike’s technology strategy to customers, partners and investors as well as media and industry events
  3. Engaging with governments and regulators on cybersecurity, technical policy, and innovation
  4. Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the cyber security industry, the competitive landscape and related industry developments to ensure we continue to be thought leaders who innovate ahead of the market
  5. Using stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology

Skills

Required

  • Experience in developing security strategies for companies and/or governments and for overseeing the successful implementation and execution of these strategies
  • Experience building and executing corporate security strategy with the ability to be able to differentiate CrowdStrike’s products and services
  • Broad information security competency and experience across strategy, governance, technology and policy.
  • Deep and broad knowledge of security issues and trends, and are able to articulate a high-level security strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Have or willing to obtain detailed understanding of CrowdStrike’s security architecture with the ability to articulate CrowdStrike’s value proposition for security
  • An ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders both within customers and in CrowdStrike, up to and including C-level executives
  • Experience of working in a global environment, geo-politically aware, sensitive to different government sentiments towards technology organisations
  • Proven history of speaking at industry conferences, published blogs, podcasts, white papers, books, etc.
  • Experience or willing to support public relations and conducting media interviews (all mediums) on various security and current affair topics including crisis situations
  • Working in a role such as or similar to Regional CTO, Enterprise Technology Strategist, Strategic Consultant, Enterprise Security Architect
  • Hands on experience in detailed research and analysis
  • Experience with/exposure to cybersecurity domain, in particular the threat landscape of nation-state/criminal actors and their varying methodology of exploitation
  • Experience with/exposure to Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, SIEM/Log Management, Mobile Security, Identity Security, Incident Response as well as other cyber security domains

Nice to have

  • Regional travel with some international travel is expected
