This role involves performing maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment in a semiconductor fabrication plant, troubleshooting issues, and analyzing data to improve tool performance. What you'd actually do

  1. Perform functions associated with all aspects of wafer production, including operations, equipment handling, and process training.
  2. Conduct maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and work on defect-reduction.
  3. Utilize technical manuals, specifications, drawings/diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions to perform tasks.
  4. Apply problem-solving techniques, use various tools, and test equipment to address production challenges.
  5. Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Skills

Required

  • National Framework Qualification (NFQ) Level 6/7 in a technical discipline
  • 3+ years in technical / semiconductor / pharmaceutical / biomedical /medical device manufacturing OR 3+ years of hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance in a regulated environment OR 3+ years in electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation in a regulated environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team and multitask.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on maintenance of semiconductor equipment
  • Influencing the creation of new specifications, procedures, and business processes related to equipment maintenance.
