This role is for a Global B2B Growth Marketing Lead at Block, focusing on driving growth for Afterpay and Cash App. The lead will oversee ABX, Demand Generation, MarOps, and Lifecycle Marketing, setting strategy to deepen vertical expansion, drive engagement, and accelerate automation using AI tools. The role requires building and running a paid performance engine, testing new formats/channels, and collaborating with Product and Data Science to harness experimentation, automation, and AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the individuals responsible for ABX, Demand Generation, MarOps, and Lifecycle Marketing, as well as external agency relationships.
  2. Own the core paid performance program across all channels and manage the Growth Marketing Opex.
  3. Oversee the planning, execution, and day-to-day optimization of paid performance campaigns designed to drive measurable incremental growth.
  4. Develop an audience-first approach to our performance media that is rooted in targeting strategy, intent signals, and performance insights.
  5. Challenge the status quo by proactively identifying testing opportunities, experimenting rapidly with new and existing tactics, and turning successful tests into scalable acquisition engines.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience leading Growth Marketing at Commerce platforms, Fintech, SAAS, or related industries.
  • Skilled at influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful business outcomes.
  • Proven track record of driving new leads and reducing churn via lifecycle retention strategies.
  • Experience with managing Marketing Opex and contracting external agencies.
  • Solutions-oriented and highly collaborative, acting as a business owner to drive results.
  • Mentality that no job is too big or too small.
