This role focuses on the architecture and optimization of global part procurement, return, and analysis processes within Ford. It involves designing global strategies, building digital tools, setting standards for engineering investigations, and coordinating quality awards. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills to bridge technical needs and process design, ensuring a unified, data-driven approach across global regions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as a global Subject Matter Expert (SME) for part procurement, return and analysis.
  2. Support development of global initiatives and standardized protocols aimed at reducing lead times and removing friction from the end-to-end return workflow.
  3. Coordinate and maintain the "Global Playbook" of comprehensive process documentation, ensuring a consistent and scalable approach to part analysis worldwide, e.g.:
  4. Support design of the data structures and tool requirements that ensure integrity and efficiency across all global regions.
  5. Coordinate the strategic planning and logistical execution of the annual Global Quality Awards, overseeing the nomination process and event coordination.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration)
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical workflows into clear, scalable process documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on dissecting process challenges and designing data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills for collaborating with and influencing diverse global stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A proactive self-starter who can manage complex projects independently while maintaining a global collaborative mindset.
  • High level of agility to respond to evolving technical needs, shifting priorities, and a fast-paced global environment (be ready for anything).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Quality.AI, GSAR, or similar enterprise quality management systems.
  • Experience using Miro or similar platforms for process mapping and strategic brainstorming.
  • Experience using software to track and present KPI trends.
