This role provides medical and scientific support to healthcare professionals and organizations, focusing on the appropriate use of Pfizer medicines. Responsibilities include scientific communication, support for clinical research, managing drug safety issues, generating real-world evidence, and reviewing promotional materials for compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice. The role requires in-depth scientific knowledge of Pfizer medicines and competitors, and collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders.

What you'd actually do

  1. To provide specialist medical and scientific advice to the nominated internal teams to support the appropriate use of Pfizer medicines and successful implementation of Pfizer’s initiatives and programs.
  2. To provide medical & scientific support to healthcare professionals and professional bodies through scientific communications and support for clinical research to facilitate a medical and scientific bridge between Pfizer and the healthcare community.
  3. To liaise with healthcare professionals to effectively communicate and manage drug safety issues.
  4. To build and develop enduring peer-to-peer relationships with leading healthcare professionals and specialists, including non-traditional customers and key decision makers.
  5. To acquire and maintain in-depth scientific knowledge of Pfizer medicines within nominated therapy area(s) (including those in development) as well as of key competitors.

Skills

Required

  • Medical, Pharmacy or Science degree
  • Fluency in Business English

Nice to have

  • GMC registration with a License to Practice is preferred
  • UK registration is preferred for pharmacists
  • post graduate science degree (eg PhD, MSc) is preferred for scientists
