Lead Gtm Enablement & Scale Architect, Lakebase

Databricks Databricks · Data AI · CA · Remote · Field Engineering - Enablement

Lead GTM Enablement & Scale Architect for Lakebase, a managed PostgreSQL database for AI applications and agents. This founding role involves creating the end-to-end enablement strategy for field engineers and partner technical sales, translating product capabilities into customer outcomes, and driving a 'builder-first' culture. Responsibilities include building scalable demo environments, establishing feedback loops with Product/Engineering, designing competitive narratives, and creating multi-format enablement assets. The role emphasizes using AI tools for content generation, building AI-powered tools for the field (agents, role-plays), and defining KPIs for field readiness. A portion of time will be spent in customer-facing interactions. Requires 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or enablement, with deep knowledge of databases and distributed systems, and a builder mentality. Familiarity with the data and AI ecosystem, including vector databases and AI/ML serving patterns, is expected. Nice-to-haves include experience at high-growth infrastructure companies, hands-on experience with Databricks or similar platforms, and experience building AI applications on operational databases.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the global GTM and enablement strategy for Lakebase for Field Engineering and Partner Technical Sales - from foundational knowledge through advanced competitive positioning
  2. Build and ship enablement at scale using AI: use vibe coding, and AI content pipelines to generate first-draft technical deep dives, competitive talk tracks, hands-on labs, and demo environments - then curate for accuracy and field impact
  3. Drive a 'builder-first' SA culture by architecting scalable demo environments and POC repositories designed for forking, rapid customization, and deep technical proof-of-concept delivery.
  4. Partner directly with the Lakebase Product and Engineering leadership to stay ahead of the roadmap and translate upcoming features into field-ready assets before GA
  5. Establish a tight product feedback loop - systematically capture field friction, lost deals, and SA objections and channel them back to Product with actionable recommendations. You have the standing to tell PMs what's not working and the data to back it up
