This role is for an Operations Training Specialist at Eli Lilly, a healthcare company. What you'd actually do

  1. The Operations Training Specialist will be directly involved with the design, creation, and implementation of training programs for Parenteral operations (Filling).
  2. The position will be involved with the evaluation of existing employees as well as the onboarding/upskilling of new hires in both the startup phase and commercial production.
  3. This role will be responsible for ensuring continuous supply of our medicines by, creating and executing against training schedules for operations personnel in the Parenteral Operations department.
  4. Responsible for administering technical training and ensuring all operators are trained to perform tasks.
  5. Coordinate daily on-the-job training for the shift.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to effectively communicate (electronically, written and verbal)
  • Computer proficiency (desktop software, MS office).
  • Leadership and the ability to train / educate team members

Nice to have

  • STEM degree or certifications
  • Previous experience in a formalized teaching or training environment
  • Pharmaceutical, medical device or food processing industries
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs)
  • Experience in operations or manufacturing environments.
  • Aseptic filling, single use assemblies, isolator technology.
  • Automated, semi-automated, and/or manual visual inspection process.
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
  • Continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma methodologies)
  • Highly automated filling equipment
  • Flexibility - the ability to troubleshoot and triage challenges
  • Willingness to travel
  • Previous experience working in operations/pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
