This role manages a team of Legal Engineers who support sales by demonstrating how Harvey's AI platform can transform legal work. It involves customer engagement, sales support, cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering, and synthesizing customer feedback to inform product development. The role requires legal expertise, team management experience, and familiarity with legal technology and AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Legal Engineers, setting a high bar for customer engagement, legal credibility, and commercial impact.
  2. Partner closely with Sales leadership and Account Executives to support strategic accounts, develop deal strategy, and drive successful customer outcomes.
  3. Oversee and support your team, as they engage in complex customer engagements by conducting discovery, leading product demonstrations, and advising customers on how Harvey can improve legal workflows across in-house legal teams.
  4. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Chief Legal Officers, legal operations leaders, and other legal and business leaders.
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Applied Legal Research, Marketing, and Enablement to improve positioning, workflows, customer solutions, and go-to-market strategy.

What the JD emphasized

  • Qualified lawyer with 7+ PQE, including significant experience practicing corporate law, commercial contracting, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, emerging companies and venture capital, capital markets, or other corporate transactional work, or advising on corporate governance, including experience working in-house.
  • Must have prior experience managing a team, with a track record of developing talent and driving performance.
