This role at Pfizer is a hybrid Medical Affairs Specialist (MAS) position focused on lung cancer within the Oncology Field MAS team in Japan. The role involves being a scientific and medical point of contact for healthcare professionals, medical societies, regulators, and academia. Key responsibilities include identifying unmet medical needs, contributing to medical plans, establishing clinical evidence, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe and effective use of products. The role requires deep medical and scientific expertise, strategic planning, and fostering strong relationships within the medical community.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be the Pfizer Japan medical scientific point of contact for HCPs, medical societies, regulators, academia and other external stakeholders.
  2. Play a central role as a scientific and medical leader who can identify unmet medical needs(UMRs), contribute to building and executing medical plans and establish clinical evidence.
  3. Ensure the highest scientific standards during in / external activities to provide deep medical and scientific expertise.
  4. Develop local medical plan aligned with global medical plan to address local UMRs and fill data gaps, and contribute to the implementation of local medical strategies and life cycle clinical plans for inline and pipeline medicines / vaccines.
  5. Provide and exchange medical/scientific information for/from medical facilities in the assigned area and external stakeholders and make important contributions to decisions of medical strategies for assigned products, to ensure safe, proper, and effective uses of assigned products.
