Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Manufacturing Manager ****(Level K) **to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, California.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment:
To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Shift:
This position is for 1st shift.
**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. ****(An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)**
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
- More than 1 year of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment.
- More than 1 year of experience in lean processes and initiatives.
- More than 1 year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and an hourly union-represented workforce.
- Experience working with satellites and satellite subsystems.
- Experience with Satellite Systems Engineering groups.
- More than 1 year of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).
