Manufacturing Technician

Operate and monitor production equipment, conduct maintenance, perform wafer production functions, optimize machinery settings, collaborate to meet targets, maintain logs, drive quality and cost improvements, conduct quality control, and support equipment installation and training.

What you'd actually do

  1. Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and procedures.
  2. Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to resolve production challenges effectively.
  3. Perform functions associated with wafer production, including equipment handling, process training, and defect reduction.
  4. Implement adjustments to machinery and equipment settings to optimize production efficiency and output quality.
  5. Collaborate with peers and management to meet production targets and escalate issues promptly when output schedules are at risk.

Skills

Required

  • NFQ Certificate (Level 6) or Diploma/Ord Bachelors/Higher Certificate (Level 7) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, Aircraft Systems, Process Technology, Physics, Instrumentation, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Maths, or Chemical Process, or completion of a Trades Apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency in automated test equipment and data entry systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute tasks with discipline and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset to address production challenges.
