Target is seeking a Marketplace Senior New Business Development Manager, Acquisition to identify, engage, and contract new business partners (DTC brands, vendors, and retailers) for the Target+ Marketplace platform. This role involves building strategies for partner acquisition, understanding the digital marketplace landscape and technical requirements, and managing corporate contracts and complex business agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales or merchandising background with experience in digital marketplaces and contract negotiation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify, engage and contract new business partners (DTC brands, vendors and retailers) to drive business development goals for the Marketplace.
  2. Build a deep understanding of the digital marketplace landscape and the technical requirements of the Marketplace, while maintaining a guest-oriented mindset and partner-friendly perspective.
  3. Leverage strong strategic, analytic, and communication skills to build long-term internal and external relationships.
  4. Build a strategy that includes discovery and identification of partners through competitive analysis and consistent monitoring of Target’s digital businesses.
  5. Demonstrate a healthy understanding of the continually evolving operational, technical and legal requirements of the Marketplace.
