Lead measurement strategy and operations for a team of measurement partners, focusing on driving performance for advertisers and influencing ads and measurement solutions strategies. This role involves providing technical support to strategic retail clients, developing advanced analytical solutions, and communicating complex measurement concepts. The role also requires evaluating AI-generated outputs and developing scalable AI analytical workflows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the day-to-day measurement lead for a team of measurement partners; drive the measurement strategy, operations, goals, technical measurement integrations, and learning plan development in partnership with Measurement Manager
  2. Surface opportunities for—and deliver—rigorous, integrated measurement and iterative learning for Pinterest’s largest and most strategic North American Ecommerce clients in order to encourage the growth of advertising investments with Pinterest.
  3. Independently navigate and respond to custom and ambiguous measurement questions that fall outside of Pinterest’s standard solutions; deploy advanced analytical solutions and standard data science tooling as needed to build understanding of the ecommerce retailers and build trust in Pinterest as a growth platform.
  4. Communicate complex measurement concepts and findings to both highly technical and non-technical across cross functional teams; adapt and scale these concepts into projects, programs, and AI-driven workflows; influence client alignment and adoption of these perspectives across business units and geographies via thought leadership.
  5. Evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs from the Ecommerce team with strong analytical judgment, ensuring recommendations are accurate, privacy-safe, and grounded in sound measurement methodology.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of digital ads measurement experience within a technology company, media agency, consulting firm, advertiser, retail media network, or research company.
  • 3+ years of experience managing highly complex projects/products and/or mentoring high velocity teams within in a collaborative environment.
  • Deep experience with advertisers who prioritize ecommerce marketing initiatives and can build trust with our most complex clients, but is also comfortable developing advertising measurement learning agendas across different business sectors.
  • Proven track record of applying strategic measurement to deliver business growth through an iterative test and learn approach. Knows how to align measurement goals and plans to long-term business strategies and product roadmaps.
  • Trusted expert in measurement concepts, solutions, and the statistical fundamentals used in the retail ads measurement ecosystem, including expertise in client- or vendor-owned multi-touch attribution systems, conversion based incrementality, site analytics, media mix modeling, and geo based matched-market testing measurement solutions.
  • Enjoys balancing rigorous advertising measurement with sensitivity and respect towards client and Pinner data; deploys their understanding of digital privacy laws and regulations as part of their recommendations and consultations.
  • Use AI-assisted analysis (SQL/Python notebooks, anomaly detection, and causal inference tools) to accelerate custom, ambiguous ecommerce measurement investigations for strategic retail clients.
