Stripe is seeking a Partner Development Manager to join their Financial Partnerships team. This role will focus on developing and executing global strategies for banking relationships, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive product strategy and new capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services, particularly in banking and payments, with a proven ability to manage and develop partnerships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop the go-to-partner strategy and execute on our most ambitious company bending bank network driven projects that are global and cross border in nature
  2. Own the banking partner plans, the overall economics, day to day operational excellence and be responsible for the driving the partnerships to successful outcomes for Stripe
  3. Leverage banking, treasury and payments industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies with transaction banks, lenders, capital markets, central banks and schemes
  4. Navigate, in partnership with Product to execute deals supporting that strategy and help ensure proper execution plan in place
  5. Gather inputs from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, finance, treasury) on creation and execution of partner strategy

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of financial services experience that includes directly working at banking institutions in cash management, FIG or payments
  • experience across partner management or business development working with banking institutions in PSPs or fintechs enabling pay in/pay out, store value and/or embedded lending experiences
  • Advanced knowledge of the banking and clearing landscape across multiple geographies with specific focus on transaction banking, e-money, safeguarding, multi currency and cross border payments
  • Broad and deep experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences and go to market models
  • Strong negotiation skills

Nice to have

  • Experience building proprietary global collection and payout networks is strongly considered
