Post Production Engineer - 12 Month Ftc

This role provides first and second-line support for a post-production facility, including video editing, graphics, and audio mixing. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving issues, planning system upgrades, managing technical installations, and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems. The role also involves preventative maintenance, managing inventory, and providing remote support to other European markets. The ideal candidate has a technical background in electronic engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in broadcast post-production support.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide both first and second-line support for the post production facility including video edit, 2D/3D graphics and audio mixing; diagnose and resolve issues with all aspects of the post production and storage environments.
  2. Effectively document problems and their resolutions.
  3. Work with line Manager & the Lead Engineer to plan upgrades for all Post Production systems, advising on systems enhancements and workflow development as required.
  4. Manage & perform technical upgrades and new installations, where necessary using third party providers.
  5. Work with the senior manager to interface with Disney Enterprise Systems to ensure desktop and broadcast infrastructure work seamlessly together.

Skills

Required

  • Technical competence across a wide range of broadcast related areas
  • Demonstrable track record in broadcast post production support (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience working in the TV industry with a major broadcaster or post production facility

Nice to have

  • Education related to Electronic Engineering field, followed by selective theory & practical training courses during employment
  • Higher education standard, such as the International Baccalaureate
