Principal Operations Engineer - Iga

This role is for a Principal Operations Engineer focused on Identity Governance platforms within a healthcare company. The primary responsibilities include managing incident, change, and problem resolution for these platforms, ensuring compliance, and supporting 24/7 operations through on-call rotations. The role requires experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), with preferred experience in IT service management, security principles, specific IAM technologies, and scripting languages.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute processes for incident management, change management, problem resolution and continuous improvement that enable Identity services.
  2. Continuously monitor IAM identity governance systems performance and health to ensure optimal operation. Perform regular maintenance tasks to prevent issues.
  3. Respond promptly to system alerts and incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to restore services as quickly as possible.
  4. Manage and maintain all components of IAM identity governance systems. Ensure that all systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and security updates.
  5. Analyze system performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements. Implement changes to enhance system efficiency and reduce downtime.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management
  • strong experience in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)

Nice to have

  • Experience with IT service management (ITIL)
  • Knowledge of fundamental security principles
  • Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Identity Manager, Entra ID, and/or SailPoint
  • Experience developing solutions with PowerShell, Python, NodeJS, PHP or other development and scripting languages
