Principal Strategist, Finance Operations & Spend Management

Workday is seeking a Principal Strategist for Finance Operations and Spend Management to develop vision, strategy, and objectives. This role involves strategic planning, operational governance, business intelligence, financial stewardship, and transformation partnership, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage the procurement strategic planning cycle, including the development and tracking of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), benchmarking, and target setting to ensure alignment with long-term business outcomes.
  2. Serve as the owner for Policy and Process Management, overseeing procurement policies and guidelines, standard operating procedures, and internal websites to ensure a thorough understanding and execution of Source-to-Pay dependencies.
  3. Drive organizational performance by owning Finance Operations and Spend Management metrics, coordinating Quarterly Business Reviews, monitoring customer satisfaction, and overseeing all internal and external operational reporting.
  4. Drive budget management through fiscal year planning, renewal management, invoice tracking and team T&E strategy.
  5. Partner closely with the Finance Transformation Office to align organizational initiatives with enterprise-wide goals while leveraging experience with global teams to develop and execute a comprehensive global location strategy.
