Experienced Legal Counsel to support Mistral AI’s GDPR compliance strategy by partnering with product and engineering teams and drafting compliance documentation. Responsibilities include managing compliance documentation, handling data subject requests, conducting employee training, negotiating DPAs, and advising on privacy topics for new features. Requires a Master's degree in law, 3-5 years of experience in IT law and privacy law/GDPR compliance, and an understanding of AI technologies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage Mistral AI’s compliance documentation (records of processing of personal data, data privacy impact assessments, internal policies, etc.)
  2. Answer and manage data subject requests; Implement GDPR processes and automation
  3. Manage employee training on privacy topics
  4. Negotiate DPAs with Mistral AI’s providers and customers
  5. Monitor privacy regulations and supervisory authorities guidance or decisions

Skills

Required

  • Master degree in law
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a law firm or in a tech company, in IT law and specifically in privacy law and GDPR compliance
  • Good knowledge of privacy regulations and guidance from national supervisory authorities as well as the EDPB
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and their applications
