What you'd actually do

  1. Actively participate, design, and optimise the product from initial concept then manage daily, weekly and monthly through the development cycle and then finally to product release ensuring functionality, quality, and schedule.
  2. Break down and prioritise deliverables for the Engineering team(s) through the creation of epics, stories and tasks.
  3. Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
  4. Work closely with Engineering teams on a day-to-day basis, participate in daily stand ups, sprint planning & sprint retrospective meetings.
  5. Work with the Product Manager(s) to create Impact Assessments so the business can prioritise work with full visibility of downstream deliverables.

Skills

Required

  • Experience working between Engineering and Product teams, in a Product Owner role.
  • Experience in cloud technology, hosting or managed services deployments and scaling those services.
  • Ability to implement best practices in an Agile environment including different measures of product discovery, including quantitative (e.g., A/B testing) and qualitative (e.g., usability testing) methods.
  • Experience managing a portion of the product lifecycle.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Technical or business background.
