Boeing is seeking a Product Repair/Mod Technician General (Level A) in Papa, Hungary, to perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. Responsibilities include flight line tasks, back-shop repairs, component replacement, fault diagnosis, and structural repair, requiring a specialized aircraft maintenance qualification and the ability to obtain security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Participation in Intermediate level maintenance activities (e.g. back-shop tasks including component repair, test set operation, battery charging, and scheduled periodic inspections) will be required additionally
  2. Assembles, disassembles and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes
  3. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
  4. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
  5. Performs C-17 maintenance to include pre/post flight inspections, repair flight discrepancies, launch and recover aircraft for missions, perform scheduled maintenance activities, perform home station checks (HSC), perform back shop maintenance, perform support equipment maintenance and perform MRT/AOG activities as necessary for the SAC aircraft.

Skills

Required

  • Specialized aircraft maintenance secondary-school (GED) qualification within five months from the application date
  • Ability to work one of three shifts Monday through Friday, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather condition
  • Ability to obtain NATO or US security clearance
  • Ability to obtain work visa
  • Ability to meet the cultural requirements of the country
  • Competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language
