Joby Aviation is seeking a Production Technician II/III to build flight-critical components for their VTOL electric aircraft. Responsibilities include adhering to safety procedures, building aircraft parts, assembling data in MES, learning and applying skills through OTJ training, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires a High School diploma, minimum 2 years of manufacturing/production experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build a variety of early-phase pilot and production aircraft parts
  2. Assemble data for the aircraft parts in our manufacturing execution system (MES)
  3. Learn and then apply skills through on-the-job (OTJ) training
  4. Work independently once tasks are assigned and be flexible with priorities provided daily
  5. Provide feedback and document issues found during manufacturing to drive solutions and process improvements

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work shift from Mon-Fri 7:30am - 6:00pm, as well as 1-2 Sat per month, from 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or production
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of work

  • Able to operate multiple equipment per SOP and basic hand tools (electric and manual)

  • Experience in basic wiring and diagnostics.
  • IPC J-STD, 610 certification.
