Project Consultant- Business Operations Analyst

This role is for a Project Consultant- Business Operations Analyst within Deloitte's Finance Transformation team. The primary focus is on supporting finance managed services, executing day-to-day finance operations, and utilizing enterprise platforms for reporting and analysis. The role involves identifying and resolving process issues, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting service delivery. It requires experience in finance operations, ERP platforms, and financial analysis, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and collaboration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supporting delivery of finance managed services activities across core finance processes
  2. Executing day-to-day finance operations, including analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and process support
  3. Using enterprise platforms and reporting tools to complete assigned work, track outputs, and maintain documentation
  4. Identifying process issues, supporting resolution activities, and escalating risks, exceptions, or delays as needed
  5. Collaborating with client stakeholders and internal teams to support service delivery, reporting needs, and operational objectives

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility
  • Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AL
  • 2+ years of experience in finance operations, finance transformation, shared services, or managed services
  • 2+ years of experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, record-to-report, order-to-cash, or procure-to-pay processes
  • 1+ years of experience using enterprise resource planning platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday
  • 1+ years of experience preparing reconciliations, reports, or financial analyses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant credential
  • Experience supporting finance managed services delivery in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Experience creating process documentation, standard operating procedures, or control documentation
  • Experience with dashboards, service level reporting, or key performance indicators
  • Experience supporting finance system implementation, optimization, or stabilization activities
  • Experience working with stakeholders across finance and operations functions
