This role is for a generalist Recruiter II at Duolingo, responsible for full-cycle recruitment for non-technical functions. The role involves partnering with hiring managers, managing pipelines, and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience. The recruiter will use data to inform decisions and will utilize AI tools to support recruiting workflows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own full‑cycle recruiting (intake, sourcing, assessments, offers) and drive efficient, high‑quality hiring outcomes for various roles in our non-technical functions, with potential to work on some technical roles.
  2. Partner with hiring managers to align on role requirements, interview plans, and timelines; help set clear expectations and keep searches on track.
  3. Support intake meetings and recruiting syncs by sharing updates, surfacing insights, and recommending next steps.
  4. Execute recruiting operations: manage timelines, track progress, and proactively communicate status updates and risks, complying with standardized processes and usage of tools
  5. Deliver an excellent candidate experience with timely communication, structured assessments, and clear feedback loops from first touch to close.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience for multiple non-technical functions (e.g. Business, Marketing, Design, People).
  • Ability to manage multiple searches at once while maintaining strong organization and candidate experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; you build trust and keep hiring partners aligned.
  • Experience using recruiting data (e.g., pipeline metrics, conversion rates) to inform your approach.
  • Comfortable ideating, building, and experimenting with AI tools, like ChatGPT.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to support recruiting workflows.
  • Experience with ATS/CRM tools like Gem, Brighthire, Guide, and Greenhouse.
  • Ability to work from or relocate to Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.

  • Experience recruiting across multiple functions, both non-technical and technical.
