Sales Commissions Analyst

Block is seeking a Sales Commissions Analyst to manage and execute their sales incentives program. The role involves calculating commissions, ensuring accuracy through Google Sheets and SQL, coordinating payouts with Payroll and Finance, and supporting sales team inquiries. Experience with incentive management systems is also required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Calculate commissions based on rules and policies outlined in the compensation plans and within existing business policies
  2. Ensure accuracy of commission calculations by implementing Google Sheets techniques that enable easy verification of data, validation of calculation logic, reconciliation of discrepancies, and regular audits.
  3. Own coordination and execution of commissions payouts with Payroll and Finance teams, and ensure client facing statements and documentation are polished and easy to digest.
  4. Triage and support inquiries from the sales team regarding commission statements or plan interpretation while managing exception cases
  5. Test and validate commission calculation systems to ensure accurate commission calculations and compliance with compensation plan and newly implemented changes

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical or technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in sales commissions, accounting, audit, or other analytical work
  • Strong Google Sheets and Google Sheets executive presentation experience
  • Intermediate SQL
  • Experience with incentive management systems (e.g., Pigment, Anaplan, Xactly, CaptivateIQ)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence cross-functional teams

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel / Google Apps
