This role is for a Security Engineer focused on Detection Engineering within Asana's security team. What you'd actually do

  1. Design, implement, manage and improve detection systems and controls
  2. Build tools that identify and help mitigate suspicious activity
  3. Design, implement and maintain incident response tooling for our blue team
  4. Work with teammates and stakeholders to develop short and long-term strategy for managing risks
  5. Work with teams cross-functionally and align their roadmaps to improve the security posture of Asana

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years security engineering or software engineering experience
  • Cloud or Infrastructure Security expertise
  • Experience building defenses against real world attacks
  • Ability to balance diverse risk when making decisions
  • Proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing security teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with security audits and assessments
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration on security initiatives
