Job Summary
As a member of the Comcast Global Accounting Organization, this role will be responsible for accounting and analysis related to various Business Services Accounting P&L accounts. Responsibilities include preparation of schedules to support accruals, quarterly financial statement analysis, journal entries, and various account reconciliations.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Perform accounting and financial analysis for Business Services Accounting P&L accounts.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identify variances, determine root causes, and recommend adjustments.
- Record monthly journal entries with complete and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Review financial statements for operating trends and variances against forecast, budget, and prior month.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review.
- Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Research complex accounting issues and assist with implementation of new accounting policies.
- Develop automated processes and workflows; experience with Power BI, Data Analyze 360, or other automation tools is encouraged.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize accounting processes.
- Work independently and collaborate effectively with cross functional‑ teams on projects.
- Adapt quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced‑ environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle Essbase/SmartView.
- Knowledge of cable industry a plus.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion on significant matters.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, or overtime as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving‑ skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle Essbase/SmartView.
- Knowledge of cable industry a plus.
