Senior Electrical Component Engineer

Boeing is seeking a Senior Electrical Component Engineer with Actives/RF-commodity EEE device experience to support space programs. Responsibilities include defining requirements for EEE parts, performing tests, qualifying suppliers, analyzing failures, and developing production systems. Requires advanced technical education and 9+ years of experience in EEE component design and development, with experience in military standards and specifications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collects information to support definition of requirements for Active/RF EEE parts, materials and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of satellite and aerospace products
  2. Performs tests to qualify new EEE parts and processes to meet requirements
  3. Conducts analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of EEE parts or processes
  4. Assists with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
  5. Develops production systems to satisfy user requirements

Skills

Required

  • Advanced technical education in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 9+ years’ experience in the design and development of EEE components (Bachelors), 7+ years (Masters)
  • Experience with military standards and specifications for design, test and documentation
  • Ability to obtain a Tier 5 Investigation (T5) or be enrolled in Continuous Vetting

Nice to have

  • Component engineering experience in Active EEE parts development (i.e. diodes, transistors, microcircuits, FPGAs, oscillators, isolators, MMICs, etc).
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex technical issues/challenges.
  • Experience developing materials for and presented at preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Experience in developing high reliability components or subsystems for space including writing qualification plans and executing environmental tests.
