**Millennium Space Systems **(MSS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Manufacturing Engineer – ATLO **(Level 4) to join the **MSS **team in El Segundo, CA!
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
**Position Responsibilities: **
- Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards
- Coordinate with leadership teams to drive high level improvements to increase production capacity and throughput, reduce space vehicle build hours and quality issues, and remove waste from complex processes
- Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests
- Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
- Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules
- Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry
- Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
- Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders
- Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. **An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Engineering degree
- 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- 5+ years of experience leading various problem solving methods (i.e. Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, or other assessment, audit and investigative models)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with integration of complex assemblies, including test experience
- 7+ years of experience with one or more of the following within the Manufacturing Operations function (Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Integration & Test Engineering, or Industrial Engineering)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies, manufacturing processes, or industry standards
- Foundation in electromechanical or mechatronic concepts
- Thorough understanding of root cause analysis and related analytical methodology (Five Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa Analysis, 8D, etc.) and root cause driven engineering changes Aerospace and/or DOD Experience
- Experience or relevant course work in any of the following: Six Sigma, Lean+, Manufacturing and/or Process Improvement
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university

Summary pay range for $135,150 - $182,850
